How can
we help you?

William Schneikart Personal Injury Lawyer is committed to providing comprehensive and tailored representation to people who have suffered serious injuries and families that have lost loved ones due to the negligence of others.

Car and Truck Crashes

Car and truck crashes can happen anytime, without warning and can cause lifelong suffering. If you have been hurt, call us so we can swing into action to investigate your case to prove fault and find the insurance to pay your bills and cover your suffering. You need a Lawyer who has years of experience helping people like you with cases like yours.

We have helped thousands of people whose necks and backs suffered the trauma of whiplash. Please read the articles and blog posts William Schneikart Personal Injury Lawyer has researched and written on the subject. Sometimes strange problems crop up that seem unrelated to spine injury. Injury to the spine may cause anything from minor pain to total paralysis. Only experienced professionals can identify and demonstrate how serious these injuries are.

Wrongful Death

Death by the fault of another is the worst of tragedies. It takes an experienced attorney to properly prepare the evidence of fault and loss to ensure substantial recovery for the family. Florida Law has a number of specific requirements for cases like this that must not be missed. Compassion in legal representation is especially important in these cases.

Brain Injury

People with spinal injuries after whiplash often have brain injury as well. Concussions do not require a blow to the head. Proper medical care is a must, but often mild brain injury is not appreciated by busy doctors and lawyers. Personal attention is critical from professionals who take the time to evaluate injury victims individually and protect their interests.

Motorcycle and Bicycle Crashes

Sadly, injuries to cyclists tend to be far worse than to other motorists. William Schneikart Personal Injury Lawyer has ridden for many years and holds Rider and Experienced Rider Certificates. Understanding the dynamics of riding and the lifestyle of fellow riders is critical for a lawyer to fully represent people with motorcycle and bicycle crash injuries. William Schneikart Personal Injury Lawyer has been particularly successful in helping conclude such cases.

Valuing An Injury Claim

Beware of a lawyer who will tell you a dollar figure for the value of your case. Even estimates of value depend on medical opinion as to what injuries were suffered and the permanent effects. A case is worth what a jury of six strangers says it’s worth after a trial. Since most cases don’t go to trial, experienced lawyers can estimate a range of value based on prior cases handled and how insurance companies currently value them.

"I am so relieved that Kathy's case has been settled. I do realize, from what she has told me that you are just waiting on the tax law to get resolved and I am hoping it will go in her favor. I just wanted to tell you that I think you have been absolutely wonderful through all this. It has been so difficult being so far away, but knowing you and your great staff have taken care of everything (and I do mean everything) has been a great relief to me and to our whole family. It isn't often you can meet someone, sign a contract with them, and know they are honest and will do their best for your child; well, I really did have that feeling with you and your staff, and I have been proven right. Thanks, again, for not only being Kathy's friend, but for all your time, phone calls to her, and just listening to her problems. You really are one in a million (and that is not a pun), and we are all very grateful to you. Even though I haven't called you (and bugged you), I was on top of things, calling Kathy every few days, through these last, very upsetting two years, so I do know all you have done.I hope we never have to use your services, again, but at least I would know who to call in Florida for help. Thank everyone in your office for me. Sincerely, Susan."

"My wife was seriously injured in a vehicle rollover accident. Before we knew Mr. Schneikart, we were given the name of a different attorney to represent us for these injuries. On follow-up visits that we made to his office, that attorney could not remember details of the case. After some communication with the insurance company, he recommended that we take the small settlement amount that was offered. Unhappy with the work he had done on the case and the recommendations he made, we contacted attorney William Schneikart, who took over our case. He went right to work to get fair compensation for the severe, lasting injuries that my wife suffered.Bill drove halfway across the state to meet personally with the insurance representatives several times. He outlined the seriousness of my wife's injuries and their lifelong consequences for her. After much communication and perseverance on the part of Mr. Schneikart, the insurance company agreed to a much larger settlement. Bill's expertise as a litigator was outstanding, we would recommend him to anyone. Sincerely, Charles"

"I was in a very bad car accident in November of 2005. I was referred to William Schneikart by a receptionist at my doctor's office. A few days after my accident, Bill came to my home for a consultation. That alone showed me: "here is an attorney that will be on my side and fight for my rights!" Upon the initial consultation, I felt the truly personalized service and knew I was in good caring hands.Bill and his experienced staff are very thorough and caring. What impressed me the most was that when I would call to ask questions I would immediately be transferred to Bill or receive a prompt call back. I have had several unpleasant experiences with pompous attorneys, but William Schneikart is a true humanitarian and has shown me that you can have an attorney that truly cares! I highly recommend Bill Schneikart and refer him to everyone that needs an attorney that truly cares about the needs of its clients. Sincerely, Jeanette V."

"I received a copy of the letter you sent to the claims supervisor today. I wanted to thank you for such a fine effort. I was so pleased with the substance and overall kindly tone of the way that it was written. I feel that my case couldn't have been communicated any better. I will be praying that it will result in a favorable outcome. I appreciate your continued faithfulness in trying to get this resolved for me. Sincerely, Jackie T."

1How does the attorney get paid in an injury case?
No legal fees are owed unless the law firm makes a financial recovery for you. The fee is a percentage of the recovery based on several contingencies that are clearly spelled out in a written contract.
2Who pays for the costs of handling my case?
The William Schneikart Law Firm will advance the costs of litigation, which under ordinary circumstances will be paid back only out of a financial recovery made for you.
3During my free consultation, will I meet directly with my attorney?
Yes! Unlike many law firms where your meetings are with a paralegal or a case manager, at the William Schneikart Law Firm you will meet directly with me. I personally attend every consultation. I suggest that you never retain a lawyer whom you have not met.
4How long will my case take?
Generally, a personal injury case should not be concluded until after you have reached maximum medical improvement (MMI). This determination is made by your treating physician and not by your attorney. MMI is that point in your treatment when your physician believes that you will not significantly improve in the future. At that point your doctor determines and describes the nature and extent of any permanent injury that you have sustained. Ordinarily it takes anywhere from six months to a year for physicians to determine that a patient has reached MMI. Thereafter, your case may be concluded by settlement within a few months or through litigation in court over a period of a year or so.
5How much is my case worth?
Although this is a common question, you should be wary of anyone who has a ready answer for this question early in a personal injury case. Once I can determine: 1) the extent of your permanent injuries; 2) the type and cost of past, present and future medical care; and 3) your lost wages and lost earning capacity, I can venture an opinion as to a possible jury verdict range.
6Can I handle my case myself without a lawyer?
There is, of course, no requirement that an injured person hire an attorney. Indeed, insurance companies and adjusters often go to great lengths to keep injured people from seeking legal advice. Adjusters are experts in the personal injury field and have their own best interest in mind. A legal consultation is always a good idea and few non-lawyers can deal with insurance adjusters on an equal footing. The threat of going to trial is what often prompts the insurance company to pay and that threat is less if you do not have a lawyer.
7If I am hurt, when should I see a lawyer?
You should have a legal consultation absolutely as soon as possible. Insurance adjusters may try to get you to do or say something that will harm or ruin your case. Evidence and witnesses may be lost if your lawyer is not on the job right away. There is nothing to be gained by delay.
8Can I discharge my lawyer and hire another one?
Yes you can discharge a lawyer retained under a contingency fee agreement. There may be certain advantages or disadvantages in doing so and a second legal option would be helpful before taking such a step.
